From global pandemics to societal unrest to the imperatives of digitization, we are in a time that is primed for change. Nations and organizations are being forced to adapt and flex, finding creative ways to address new and ever-changing problems. Meeting these demands requires the right technology and the right people.

@hackforNaija is an initiative built on activities for developing digital solutions and capacity for the daily lives of Nigerians. The recent events in Nigeria and globally make it imperative that this initiative kicks off in 2020. Thus, we launch HackforNaija this year with a Saturday of workshops a week to the hackathon on November 14 and the virtual hackathon challenge on Saturday, November 21st, 2020.

Get your team of 5 together and register to take part in HackforNaija Virtual Hackathon taking place on Saturday 21 November 2020 from 9:00am to 5:00pm WAT (West African Time). HackforNaija is created to promote creative thinking to problem-solving, addressing new challenges, identifying new opportunities using digital tools.

Learning starts in just a few days and you still have time to register. It's an amazing opportunity to learn new technical skills with your friends, whether you're brand new or a veteran hacker. Besides developing great solutions to problems, you and your team members could win a few prizes while at it!

We are hosting the learning day workshops on a wide variety of subjects the week before the #HackforNaija hackathon. Please note that proof of attendance of the learning workshops is compulsory for all teams who register for the Hackathon.
